In the heart of the Yendi Municipal is a small farming community where their farming activities contribute significantly to the food security of the district. This community was once a very vibrant community that relied on a community dam for its water source for both domestic and industrial use. But over the years, the rains grew unpredictable, the dam dried up, and the village now relies on only one borehole site, a little distant from the community.
Tusani community residents rely on this single water source for all their daily needs -drinking, cooking, washing, and other domestic activities. This single source is now overstretched due to population increase, forcing people to spend long hours in queues just to fetch a few gallons of water for their household consumption. During the dry season, the situation becomes even worse, posing serious risks to the community’s health, hygiene, and overall well-being
We are raising funds to construct a Mechanized borehole to provide clean and reliable water to the community. This borehole will reduce the burden on the current water source, improve access to safe water, prevent waterborne diseases, and save families, especially women and children, the time and energy spent in search of water every day.
Your support will help bring lasting change to the Tusani community by providing something as basic and essential as clean water. Together, we can ensure that no one has to struggle for this vital resource(Water).
