A symbol of hope and struggle; The unfinished school structure of Youngduuni

We are raising funds to support the completion of a 3-unit classroom block for the Yongduuni Community in the Sagnarigu Municipality that has shown exceptional determination in its pursuit of quality education for its children. With limited resources and no external funding, the community members came together, contributed their labor, and mobilized the little resources they had to start the construction of a three-classroom block. Their vision is to ensure that every child in the community and surrounding villages has easy access to safe, reliable, and conducive learning spaces.
Currently, many children in this area travel long distances to access education. This not only exposes them to safety risks but also leads to frequent absenteeism and an increased likelihood of dropping out, especially for younger children. The lack of a nearby school also discourages some parents from enrolling their children early, which delays their educational journey and affects their overall development.
The community’s effort led to the construction of the foundation and part of the walls for a 3-unit classroom block, but the project has come to a halt due to inadequate resources. Without a roof, windows, doors, and proper finishing, the structure is at risk of deterioration, and the dream of giving these children a safe learning environment remains incomplete and threatened.
By supporting this fundraiser, you will help us:

• Install windows and doors to make the classrooms safe and secure.
• Procure furniture such as desks and chairs to create a comfortable learning environment.
• Ensure that children from nearby communities can access education without traveling long distances.
